TV ads are promoting the new great 5G for your electronic devices with promises of faster speeds. Unfortunately few phones will be able to get 5G as most will still operate on 4G. It may benefit emergency services but at what cost to the environment, wildlife and public health. Listen to the President of Microsoft Canada telling how no testing has been done on the safety of the new frequencies and how research must be implement into safer and cheaper ways to achieve the same results.
Blue light is not necessarily bad. Certain wavelengths of blue light can help boost mood as well as alertness, memory and even cognitive function. But, recently researchers are warning that overexposure due to the time we are on electronics that generate thee wavelengths can cause eye problems over time.
According to an article in the American Optometric Association journal “Early research shows that overexposure to blue light could contribute to eye strain and discomfort and may lead to serious conditions later life such as age-related macular degeneration which can cause blindness.” Other research has shown that overexposure to blue light can accelerate the aging of eyes and lead to dry eye and eye fatigue even when you view your electronic screen for only short periods of time.
To protect yourself if you have to be on the computer a lot you could supplement with lutein and zeaxanthin. Both are found naturally in the eye and are responsible for protecting the eye from light-induced damage. Studies have shown that increasesed consumption of these ingredients lowered risk of developing macular degeneration.
Additional research has shown that children are a greater risk as their crystalline lenses are more transparent and more susceptible to these short wavelengths associated with blue light and LED lighting found in many classrooms.Food that contain lutein are fruit, vegetables such as broccoli, grapes, kale , kiwi, spinach, zucchini many of which also contain zeaxanthin (also found in egg yolk, orange tangerines and turnip greens).
Cutting your blue light exposure is key but not always possible in our tech-centered culture. To change the light so it is not so blue after dark, search online for a download that alters your screen color to a more rose shade. This will also reduce the attack on melatonin of which the production is hampered by the blue light. This will help (especially your teenager who is on a screen until the last moment at night) reduce insomnia.

Experts around the world are using the Precautionary Principle when it comes to electromagnetic radiation (EMF) from cell phones, microwave ovens, Wi-Fi, smart meters. In the EU governments are seeing bans on Wi-Fi in schools as are the teacher’s union in Ontario, Canada. Even if no conclusive proof is forthcoming, when the possibility exists based on experiential evidence, they are erring on the side of caution.
An expert on this short video claims that EMF is cumulative and only 1690 hours of holding a cell phone next to your head doubles your chances of getting glioma brain tumors – that’s only about 2 hours per day for 2 years! Click Here. A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that cell phone radiation changed brain chemistry by raising glucose levels. The World Health Organization added radiofrequency electromagnetic fields to a long list of “possibly carcinogenic” agents; other such agents are coconut oil, DDT, gasoline exhaust, lead, talcum powder, titanium dioxide, and some types of HIV and HPV viruses. Aside from increased risk of brain cancer, cellphone use has also been tied to developmental problems in kids, ringing in the ears, bone loss, concentration problems, and unsightly rashes.
Texting is obviously less invasive on your head, but many warnings about keeping the cell phone in your pocket while on, can increase risk of cancer in those areas (testicular, breast). Therefore, it seems to reason that holding a phone while texting can affect the hand and wrist as well. Although my research doesn’t find much that addresses holding the phone, the studies show proximity of an organ to the “live” phone radiation to be a problem so we just extrapolate what could be happening to your wrist (like carpal tunnel syndrome from repeated mouse usage). We can suggest if you text at least put the phone down on a hard surface and don’t hold it as a best “precautionary” method.
Many users are totally unaware that their favorite communication device could be a health hazard. We hope that this information reaches them so they can take a look, do some research and make their own decision about reducing the risk. There are also some protection devices you can put on your phone to help mitigate the radiation. See this information page: Click Here
The human heart correlates with the Schumann Resonance of the earth. Wireless frequencies are millions of times faster than these natural rhythms. What does this say for the health of humans (unless their heart adapts) and especially children who are now living in a wifi world? Europe is way ahead of us in recognizing the hazards of electromagnetic frequencies on our bodies.
European Resolution Re: EMF and Human Health The Parliamentary Assembly of the 47-member Council of Europe passed a resolution on May 27, 2011 recommending sweeping changes to the way cell phones are used, how they are marketed, and how safe exposure limits are determined. “The potential dangers of electromagnetic fields and their effect on the environment,” resolution covers the effects of EMF fields on human health. The Council of Europe also advocates that electric power lines and inhabited dwellings be kept apart from each other at a safe distance, much farther than currently practiced in the building trade. They also say the siting of all new radio and cell phone antennas should be done so as to protect the health of nearby residents, not “solely according to the operators’ interests.”
Please take an interest in what these frequencies are doing. Just because cellular companies report “safe” rhetoric, do more research to see if they are just padding their case to inflate their bottom line. All of their research usually comes from the countries who opt out of EMF hazard research, like the USA. Be wary of articles that promote the RF safe cause and do you own research outside the propaganda box. Maine is already getting aboard: California and Maine are the most heavily deployed states for the relatively new RF smart meter on your house . Maine’s program is under audit, and Maine’s Supreme Court has ruled that the MPUC did not adequately address health concerns related to smart meters.
