45 million women going through menopause
So many women suffering with menopause. That’s why I wrote my book Aaargh! Menopause. I still deal with post-menopause symptoms which have been mostly eliminated through various supplements, but many of my friends who are at that age are complaining about hot flashes, fatigue, mood swings, loss of interest in sex, joint pain and more. They just ask me… when does this stop?
Although the symptoms may lessen the effects of losing your estrogen and progesterone levels change our shape. I still deal with a fatter waist, shrinking spine so the skin rolls up around my middle because it has no place to go! And most women have arthritis to look forward to. Not a pretty picture!
There are lots of things you can do diet wise to clean up your act and stave off the inevitable demise of the body. One supplement I found is to shore up the telomeres which affect your DNA strands from shortening. Supposedly when then get real short you die. Cell Metrix is a synergistic herbal supplement to stimulate your cells, including stem cells at the molecular level. And it must have an ingredient that affects my serotonin because I call it my happy pill. When I take it I get more energy and can’t keep a frown on. I buy it through www.longlifenews.com
The other magic potion I take is 4 Easy Menopause. It seems it includes the NCC Factor (which I understand means naturally complete complex) that according to the website has inherent in the velvet antler ingredient, all components needed for hormone balancing, joint support, immune support, etc. Sort of a one-size fits all component. It also has milk calcium and an EFA complex from green lipped mussels. Must work because my knees are better and I can still ski and ride my bike and my hot flashes (yup still got them 20 years after menopause) are hardly noticeable. Do your own research and check out their website www.EasyMenopauseSolutions.com .
If you have any other recommendations I’d appreciate comments to this blog. We like to share anything that helps women (and the men who have to deal with menopausal women) during the post-fertility stage of their life.

Natural help for cataracts and joint pain
So what are joints? Joints form the connections between bones. The joints allow our bones to move and are made up of cartilage, ligaments, tendons, bursas which are fluid-filled sacs that help cushion the joint, and the synovial membrane that is the lining of the joint capsule that secretes synovial fluid to lubricate the joint. Any of these parts of the joint can become irritated or inflamed in response to a variety of disorders or conditions including years of exercise. Any damage to the joints from disease or injury can interfere with your movement and cause a lot of pain.
Many different conditions can lead to painful joints, including osteoarthritis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, gout, strains, sprains, and other injuries. Knee pain is the most common complaint, followed by shoulder and hip pain, but joint pain can affect any part of your body, from your ankles and feet to your shoulders and hands. As you get older, painful joints become increasingly more common.

Survey results so far.
We have had over 100 people complete our survey to help us design content for our upcoming course “Ten Days to Living Longer”. To date the most concerns of those who participated were: joint pain and decreased mobility, fear of heart problems, memory loss and restricted vision. 90% of those who answered the question “Would you like to know what to eat that could lengthen your lifespan?” answered – absolutely! We will keep you updated on additional survey results and let you know how we are progressing on the course content. Thanks for all of those who are helping in this venture. If you want to be included in the survey click the archive link for April 2016 and read the post.

Velvet Antler for Joints, Anti-Aging and Athletes.
Deer velvet (humanely harvested fuzz on the antlers) traditionally was used in China over a thousand years ago. Even today, many oriental countries rely on it for its rejuvenation properties, alleviating of menopause symptoms and as an aphrodisiac. In addition users have discovered its good for promoting growth in children, increasing blood in the body, helping cardiovascular disorders, preventing aging and loss of memory, treating menstrual disorders, addressing impotence and infertility and strengthening stamina.
Since 1991 New Zealand scientists have been carrying out a unique investigation into the composition and medical properties of velvet at AgResearch Invermay on the South Island. Their studies verified ancient claims to the efficacy of velvet’s properties. A Russian study revealed that velvet antler has hypotensive, erythopoietic, anti-stress stimulating, anti-inflammatory, gonadotrophic, growth and metabolic effects. Athletes have found velvet antler beneficial for repair of stressed joints and for the added stamina and endurance it seems to provide.
I personally had meniscus damage in my knees from skiing. Not want to face surgery I tried the New Zealand velvet antler (NZVEL) along with a topical cream that contained CMO (Joint Medic). I hate to say the word “cure”, but I no longer have trick knees, no pain and no clicking in my knee. The combination seems to have restored my synovial fluid and somehow reduced the bone on bone trauma whenever I would run or bike. I used to wear a brace to protect the lateral movement on my knee… no more! I can bike without becoming crippled afterwards and hiking and skiing are no problem anymore.
Velvet Antler warrants further investigation if you have a specific condition you think it may help. There is a copy of the book “Velvet Antler, Powerful tonic for joints, infertility, blood pressure, athletic performance and more” available at http://bit.ly/1ncFoid for $1 as a PDF or you can buy the paperback at Amazon http://amzn.to/1oTH0SI. More info on the actual NZVEL product I used is available at http://bit.ly/1kdt55v.
The cause of many health problems.
If you are afraid of getting arthritis, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune diseases, Alzheimer’s irritable bowel, colitis, chronic pain, cancer, metabolic syndrome, stroke and mental problems, then pay attention!
All of these stem from an increase in inflammation in the body which can be caused by overdosing of antibiotics, poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, too much alcohol, certain medications, poor dental hygiene and stress. Your body basically misreads information and after the inflammation is through fixing the immediate problem it somehow thinks it can cure everything so never shuts off. This becomes chronic inflammation and is the root cause of many of our illnesses.
In addition to changing your lifestyle and trying to reduce stress, you can curb this inflammation response with some supplements. Our favorite is curcumin and for short periods of time, holy basil (long-term use has some warnings with it). Curcumin in addition to being an anti-inflammatory also exhibits antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties. But you have to get the right kind of curcumin as many forms are not easily absorbed into the bloodstream. We like brands with the Curcumin c-3 complex which has clinical trials to support its efficacy. You can also investigate using tocotrienols (like a super vitamin E) which has shown to regulate inflammation markers and inhibited pro-inflammatory cytokines, and has been used in cases of inflammatory bowel disease.
Also good are any anti-oxidants that fight free radicals. We take a chewable wafer that contains NT factor which acts on the cellular level to fight free radical damage and get the cells healthy again so they don’t reproduce deformed offspring (a common process that accelerates aging).
Some suggestions: V&C Energy Wafer (NT factor chews) http://bit.ly/1eGpGsf and
